Welcome
Welcome to the new GNP website. As you can see, things are a little different around here. However, one thing remains unchanged: our commitment to you. Along with the new website, we've added some new toys to the shop, including an in-wall home theater demo room. We have also added a great looking new wall system to house your flat panel TV and sound system. The store has also gone through some cosmetic upgrades to enhance your experience. Come in and allow us to share our passion.
Since 1977, we've prided ourselves in providing straightforward, honest advice, based on your individual needs. No fuss, no muss. Because if we didn't do this, we'd be out of a job.
And we like our jobs.
GNP should be your first choice for standard two channel Home Stereo, Moderate to Exotic Home Theater, and Distributed Music Systems (Sound everywhere in the Home). We support vacuum tube technology and vinyl, all the way up to hard drive based servers, with a few tricks in between.

Peachtree Audio for 2010
Nova
Decco 2
iDecco
This company has really excelled in defining high performance audio for the new decade. Most music now finds it's listener by download to a computer, and probably a portable device. Great for convenience.....not so great for sound! Peachtree optimizes the digital signal from these digital devices to obtain the best possible sound. These units have USB inputs as well as the coax and optical connections, more familiar to audio types. Standard analog inputs are also provided. so it just does it all. The Nova and Decco Integrated Amps utilize the ESS 9006 Sabre DAC (24 bit/96khz upsamlping). This is one of the finest sounding DACs at any price! It also has the uncanny ability to make MP3 recordings sound much better. The preamp stage is tube based and the power output stage is Mosfet. This combination results in exceptional sound at a price you would expect to pay for mediocrity! They also will support wireless music devices, and even have an internal slot for a Sonus ZP90. This will allow them to become part of a wireless multi zone, multi room system. The Nova and Decco 2 are the same in all respects except for power output. The Nova is 80 watts and the Decco is 40. There is also an iDecco that includes an integral iPod dock. These units are so flexible and can do so much for your sound that this paragraph could go on for pages. Our best advice is to come in and we can discuss how to get CD quality sound from your computer, iPod, or any digital storage device.
Arcam:
The Arcam AVR600 Surround receiver has received wonderful reviews (pun intended) and deserves them all. The AVR500 is it's new little brother and is making big brother jealous! The 500 does not have all the features, and lacks the Class G amplifier stages, but costs $1200 less. Arcam is one of the few high performance receivers on the market that can fully handle HDMI 1.3 and therefore decode Dolby True HD and DTS Master internally. Arcam's Surround Receivers simply outperform all the "Big Box Store Brands" by leaps and bounds.
PSB Loudspeakers:
PSB 's brand new Imagine Line is now at GNP for your listening pleasure. This elegant speaker line combines a sleek new look, similar to the Synchrony family of speakers, with excellent performance, all at a price normally reserved for a budget line. The Image line has also been updated with new products for 2010. Bring your favorite music and stop by for an audition. We also display models from the Image and the Synchrony line.
Thiel:
Thiel’s new flagship loudspeaker, the 3.7, is now on display for your evaluation at GNP. The long wait is finally over and everyone agrees it was worth it. The 3.7 was named as a CES Innovations Design & Engineering Award Winner for 2007, and Product of the Year by EH Publishing. We have now had over a month to run this incredible speaker through its paces on all types of music and movies. Every day reaffirms this beauty’s pedigree. The soundstage is among the best we have heard, ever! It has a warmth, depth, and authority comparable too much larger speakers, yet is exceptionally detailed, as you would expect from a Thiel. This is Jim Thiel’s best effort to date and represents a true leap forward in engineering. Everything about this speaker is new, except the commitment to the best possible sound and build quality. You owe it to yourself to come by and enjoy this wonderful new offering. Update: It turns out that these speakers have a fairly long break-in period. They continue to improve week after week. It has even been suggested by some that this continues for up to 600 hours They sound even better than we originally thought!

Martin-Logan:
Martin Logan introduces two new affordable hybrid electrostatic loudspeakers, the “Source”, and the “Purity”. We have them both on display for your listening pleasure. The Source boasts a new more efficient electrostatic panel, made possible by the technology developed for the flagship “Summit”. A new 8” woofer handles the bass. The style is similar to that found in the more expensive ESL Line. Sonically these speakers offer unmatched detail and speed, previously unheard of at this price range. It is truly great to be able to sell an electrostatic speaker from Martin-Logan once again in the $2000 range. The Purity is similar to the Source except that it is fully self-powered. That’s right…. You don’t have to buy an amplifier for this speaker. It has both line level (RCA) inputs as well as the traditional speaker level connections, making it the most versatile electrostat ever produced. You can drive it directly from a preamp, amplifier, TV, iPod, or even a small receiver and its internal 200 watt amplifier will make it sound like you invested in an expensive power amp. It will just sound great! We show numerous models of Martin-Logan speakers and Subwoofers.
